What SINPROTEC Builds – and Why
For those encountering the company for the first time: SINPROTEC develops and manufactures equipment for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) and demining – the tools operators carry to detect, mark and render safe landmines, unexploded ordnance and improvised explosive devices. The portfolio is not assembled from a catalogue. It is structured around how these threats are actually confronted in the field.
SINPROTEC – Full-Solution Approach
SINPROTEC’s portfolio is structured around five capability pillars: protection, reconnaissance, detection, marking and defeat. Defeat is further differentiated into manual technologies, low & high order procedures, and mechanical platforms.
The approach is not a catalogue of standalone products, but an operationally integrated system designed to function under field conditions. SINPROTEC’s own development focuses on marking and manual defeat – areas directly informed by the team’s extensive operational EOD experience – alongside the Combat Engineer Backpack (CEB) as a central integration platform. Additional in-house development is underway in protection, detection and tripwire laser systems.

From Concept to Kit
What does this look like as a physical product? The answer begins with two compact kits – equipment sized for the individual operator, manufactured to move safely through contaminated terrain.
Capability for All Personnel
The Personal Mine Marking Kit and the compact Hook & Line Kit are essential assets for every military, police force and public authority operating in war and crisis zones as well as in post-conflict regions. Both are compact kits housed in a MOLLE-system-compatible pouch.
The Personal Mine Marking Kit combines detection tools – a modular mine prodder and a tripwire feeler with pouch – with a full marking set of red marking spray, marking sticks, tape, fluorescent stripes and light sticks. It is a mandatory asset to enable safe movement in terrain contaminated with landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO) and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The compact Hook & Line Kit contains a rope bag with grappling hook and carabiner, rope and cord slings, single and double hook sets with adapter and carabiner, an AT mine bracket with cord, and an AP mine extractor tool. In conjunction with the Personal Mine Marking Kit, it is a mandatory asset to enable safe movement in terrain contaminated with landmines, UXO and IEDs.
The AP mine extractor tool follows a step-by-step process according to instructions engraved on the tool itself: (1) insert into the soil, up to the ‘ground level’ marking and no more than 4 cm from the AP mine, (2) unfold the pulling lever, (3) remove the safety pin, (4) place the safety pin, (5) attach the pulling cord.

The Integration Platform
Individual tools solve individual problems. The Combat Engineer / Humanitarian Mine Action Operator Backpack is where SINPROTEC’s manufacturing converges into a single system – the clearest expression of what the company produces.
Combat Engineer Backpack (CEB) / Humanitarian Mine Action Operator Backpack
The Combat Engineer Backpack (CEB) / Humanitarian Mine Action Operator Backpack is an essential asset for every military, police force, public authority and NGO operating in war and crisis zones as well as in post-conflict regions. It is a compact solution that contains all relevant EOD equipment for use in a high-threat environment contaminated with landmines, unexploded ordnance and improvised explosive devices, designed as a well-organised, highly modular and efficient storage system. The CEB integrates three SINPROTEC products – the Advanced Mine Marking Kit, the ZAG-M Mine Fuze Extractor Tool Kit and the full Hook & Line System Kit – together with partner products integrated into the backpack’s side pouches.
The Advanced Mine Marking Kit is the extended version of the personal kit, adding a mine prodder with extension, white marking spray as well as red, route tape, mine flags, additional red and green light sticks with holders, and marking poles. It is a removable front pouch from the operator backpack, and can also be ordered separately, making it ideal for storage in combat vehicles.
The ZAG-M Mine Fuze Extractor Tool Kit is designed for the safe, quick and efficient removal of the two pressure-activated fuzes (MVP-62 and MVZ-62) from the TM-62 AT mine. It was developed in response to a request from the Ukrainian MoD to have a semi-remote render-safe procedure (RSP) to counter the threat caused by pressure-activated TM-62 AT mines. It is designed to provide military, police, public authorities and NGOs with the best possible support and safety in the complex process of manual demining, characterised by clear and simple operation ensured by a pre-defined, controlled and reliable sequence of the required work steps. The kit contains the ZAG-M with cord, a reel with pulling cord and carabiner, short and long impulse levers, a cleaning brush, an AT mine bracket with cord, a cord sling and a water-resistant operator manual. The latest version of ZAG-M is also designed for other pressure-activated AT mines, such as the TM-46 and TM-57.
The Hook & Line System Kit is the specialist version of the compact kit. It adds a modular mine prodder and tripwire feeler, an exposure tool, a longer reel with pulling cord and carabiner, an earth anchor with double loop, a cantilever clamp, a carabiner with integrated pulley, a pulling handle and cable ties for extended manual render-safe procedures.
Proven in Service
Equipment of this kind is judged by one measure: whether those responsible for demining choose to procure and deploy it.
References
Operational credibility is reflected in recent contracts and deployments. Within less than two years, SINPROTEC has concluded a number of contracts under German Ministry of Defence support to Ukraine, covering the ZAG-M system, the Combat Engineer Backpack and the RISE-1 initiation system including several contracts with NATO countries.
Further engagements are ongoing with a number of NATO and non-NATO countries and governmental and non-governmental organizations involved in humanitarian mine action.
Inside the Facility
Which brings us back to Niedereschach. Every kit described above is machined, assembled and stored in a production environment built around the same discipline the equipment must deliver in the field.
Production, Quality and Development
Production is based in southern Germany, with CNC machining, assembly and storage. Design, development and manufacturing processes – covering metals, plastics, composites, textiles and cordage – are aligned with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and MIL-STD-810.
SINPROTEC’s development work has been recognised by the German BSFZ Research Allowance Certification Body.
