SINPROTEC GmbH has appointed Jörg Marxen as Senior Technical Advisor. Joining the company in August 2026, he will strengthen SINPROTEC’s ability to support customers with training, technical advisory services, EOD/IEDD mentoring and quality management in explosive threat mitigation.
Jörg brings extensive experience in military EOD/IEDD operations, police bomb disposal, international training programmes and advisory assignments in crisis-affected and post-conflict environments. His background combines operational experience with a strong understanding of training requirements, safety procedures and international standards, including the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS).
He served as an EOD/IEDD Team Leader with the German Armed Forces from 1997 to 2013, including various deployments to Afghanistan and Kosovo. During this period, Jörg qualified as an ammunition technician, obtained several military EOD/IEDD qualifications. He also conducted various mine-awareness trainings and completed Counter-IED “train-the-trainer” and Weapons Intelligence Team (WIT) operator courses.
From 2013 to 2017, Jörg served as IEDD expert with the State Police Bureau of Crime Scene Investigation (LKA). His responsibilities included bomb disposal operations, IED-awareness training delivery to police units and serving as an expert witness regarding IED-related incidents.
In 2014, he founded MTSC-Global, providing consulting, training and equipment support to government agencies and organisations operating in security-sensitive environments. His work focused on K9 Explosive Detection Dog operations, Counter-IED awareness and aviation-related security training. Between 2018 and 2022, he worked as an EOD/IEDD trainer, mentor and advisor in Somalia, Iraq and Pakistan, supporting local and international teams in demanding operational environments. Alongside his operational and advisory work, he lectures on security and training at the University of Applied Sciences for Police in Bremen.
As Senior Technical Advisor, Jörg brings, in the words of SINPROTEC CEO Dominic Graser, “exactly the kind of operational and technical experience that helps turn complex customer requirements into practical, reliable capability.” In his new role, he will further develop SINPROTEC’s education, training and capacity-building offering, including certification and work at the interface between technical consultancy, innovation and product management, supporting sales activities with his operational expertise.
His responsibilities will also include EOD/IEDD advisory and mentoring and quality management and safety, with a particular focus on monitoring and implementing procedures aligned with IMAS. “Jörg’s appointment strengthens our ability to develop and support solutions beyond the product itself,” says Graser, “and is highly relevant to our customers and to SINPROTEC’s continued growth.”
